GSC/HGSS were always 3 years after and DPPl are ambiguously after HGSS. The Teraleak timeline says BW were 10 years after DPPl so likely somewhere around 2010 when it dropped, making things contemporary again. B2W2 are 2 years after, same as irl, but XY take place during the same time as B2W2. SM are 2 years after XY (2014) so for "anniversary" games they miss the mark completely. You can stretch it and say Porygon was actually developed in 1995 (like Gen I) and SM are actually 2015This could mean Leon's defeat is actually the 20th anniversary (2016) and Z-A is only 2017.
