The only reason one could even begin to think it’s “slow” is because of how skewed SV’s speedscape is by the existence of Booster Energy, Dragapult being a thing since Gen 8 and fucking Darkrai of all things being dropped to OU. It even has Bulk Up, Recover and Aqua Jet to cover for any Bulk or Speed problems people have with it. The design is painfully lazy, but competitively it seems like they did it really well compared to most mixed attackers out there, especially considering this one’s getting 130 SpA and a Pure-Power-Augmented 100 Atk stat.
