Or will they replace it with another unpopular gimmick in gen 10?
After the flops of z-moves, dyanamx, and teras, it feels like they've finally accepted people don't want new flashy gimmicks each time, they just want to see new megas.
>>
Champions is going to cycle gimmicks.
Some gimmicks can actually play nicely together, like tera or Z moves, while Dynamax will be impossible to balance in order to play nice.
>>
Megas are the only thing that really made it to Pokemon Go that made sense as well. The Dynamax stuff is kind of an optional sidequest, but Megas are used basically in every aspect: battling, catching, team rocket. Dynamax just seems like a candy sink.

I think that mega evolution is gonna be treated as a series staple like regional variants rather than a one-off gimmick, but there will still be new gimmicks that'll take the spotlight. With how many mega evolutions they've created in Z-A and the upcoming DLC it makes me think that it'll be a long time until we see more new megas again.

It's not staying. We're only a few years away from alphas who have nostalgia over SwSh begging for more Gmax forms.

? Everything you said is true except Dynamax is a free candy hack
