The fact we get Mable replacing Sycamore and moving in her Nazi Gamer chair already makes your argument invalid because people wanted to see Game Freak do justice to some of the lesser XY characters that didn't get much spotlight thanks to XY being the way that it was. Instead they just ended up doing the exact same fucking thing again and didn't learn a damn thing
