>>58419495I'll elaborate, let's use Area 3 as an example. This is a square with a tower. Each time you go up the tower, the screen refreshes. Each time you go down the screen refreshes. It might spawn or despawn things as well as reset things. Quick traveling to Area 3 right outside of it does the same thing but better because you might not lose a monster that spawns at the top of the tower. It can happen. This way you can farm for alpha/shinies that you know are in certain fixed spots.

Entry Hazards are omega uber broken in the classic rpg but here? they are literal obstacles placed on the field, the enemy might or not step in them. You can try to force them into environmental damage like that, trap moves work like this too. Say you activate whirlpool, it will create a zone of constant damage for some seconds. Now place Spikes in there, non flying pokemon will suffer damage from both. Now paralyz that pokemon, it will move slowly so it will get even more damage from there. Now use roar and the pokemon that got out will be push back there. That's how things work here. Some moves track the pokemon like will-o-wisp. Some create a large beam, some a middle ranged effect, some warp your pokemon around and so on. Multi strike attacks now do all their hits but the target must be in range, that kinda shit.

Multihit moves are amazing in this game, so are burn and poison. It's also funny how I could just cast smokescreen, hide in it and spam water shuriken an alpha to death with my Greninja. The game has a lot of shortcoming, but the actual pokemon and the battles are not any of them.
