How would you make a pokemon with this type combo viable?
If he looks cool and badass it's viable
>>58419927Sneasler
>>58419953Don’t remind me ;_;
>>58419927I remember seeing an UB fakemon based on 60's America. It had this type combo as a reference to the Cold war.
>>58419927200 in all stats
regional Jynx
>>58419927>fast mixed attacking sweeperGive me free games GF.
>>58419927Viable competitively? Just make it fast, this isn't bad offensive typing.
>>58419927105/150/60/10/60/155 (bst: 540)ability is no guardmoveset contains triple axel, gunk shot, and dynamicpunchUU at best btw
2025I am forgotten...
>>58419927It's not my idea, but I liked the concept: A gilla monster that is the physical representation of snowstorms in the deserts, the lore would be that it only comes out to eat once every few months and the only proof that remains is the icy trail it leaves.
>>58420025I remember you Chillnobyl, I remember Sage. I even translated some mons into PTA3 for a game I'm running. It has been a long time though. >>58419927Make it just a little bit faster than the meta dragon/fairy types so it can silver bullet them and then faint.
Magic Guard
>>58420025>>58420271No
>>58420102
>still no fire and fairy mon>still no bug and dragon mon>still no rock and ghost monWill GF ever make the designs based on these missing typing one day?
>>58419927A perpetually sick PokemonRegional Bergmite evolutionSneaslerThere's been opportunities, they just haven't done it yet.Imagine a New Bergmite evolution with Poison Point but for Special Attacks, and Poison now lowers Special Attack like how Burn lowers Physical Attack. Is it good?No idea.Does it make sense?Absolutely.
>>58419927Abilities: Slush Rush, PranksterStats:>HP: 77>Attack: 66>Defense: 77>Special Attack:111>Special Defense: 77>Speed: 99Notable moves:>Blizzard>Ice Beam>Freeze Dry>Sludge Bomb>Sludge Wave>Surf>Hydro Pump>Toxic>Aurora Veil>Taunt>Encore>Haze>Toxic Spikes>Rapid Spin>Icy Wind>Ice Spinner>Acid Spray>Clear Smog>Soak>Chilling Water>Weather BallYou can either run it as an offensive Snow sweeper or a bulky support Pokemon. Freeze Dry + Sludge Wave + Surf is near perfect coverage offensively, and Soak lets it do neat things like Toxic a Poison or Steel type or make something weak to Freeze Dry.
>>58419927Probably a mix of glacier pathogens and that blood ice in AntarcticaMaybe sounds too much like a Muk regional lel
>>58419927Venomous snow living reptile
>>58419969
>>58419927Mega-Sneasler. +40 speed, +20 to both defenses and attack. Ability: Adaptability.
>>58419927that type combo would be perfectly fine. Not every mon needs perfect defensive typing. A mon like this could still switch into fairies or ice-types readily, which is more or less enough.
>>58420102>>58420709I remember having a conversation about a gila monster ice/poison in a thread a week or two or three ago, loved the idea. Deserves to be the pseudo of a region. Throw it in a gen 11 oz region to be funny.
>>58421001>Maybe sounds too much like a Muk regional lelwouldn't mind another regional muk
>>58421001>>58420102regional vanilluxe line
Give it Levitate and make it a fast special attacker with flame thrower and earth Power as coverage options.
>ability: negative kelvin>removes all ice weaknesses
>>58420645Sovl
>>58420907They have to know how much people want these type combos. They're probably saving them on purpose.
>>58419927Easy, based on this famous scientific paper 1944 hoaxhttps://edu.rsc.org/feature/the-curious-story-of-toxic-ice/2020248.articleAlternately, >>58420025 has a neat concept about Nuclear Winter, though nuclear thus far hasn't been mentioned in connection to the poison type, it's all poisons, venoms, and pollution toxins.
just make a regional koffing based on the common cold virus and name the evolution sneezingeasiest shit ever
Ice IX. Do it, pussies
>>58420102>Winter in Unova is the only time you can catch this mon, by following it's footsteps to it's nest>75% to encounter it's prevo, 25% the final stageKino
Regional variant of Vanilluxe that has gone sour
>>58422376gamefreak, being japanese, probably doesn't want to touch nuclear stuff as a concept ever.
>>58421001There’s a rom hack called quarantine Crystal that has a Pokémon inspired by this and it’s basically a sick snow man.
>>58422836Sadly
>>58419927Using just existing abilities and moves?Give it Snow Warning and make sure it can learn Blizzard, Aurora Veil, Freeze Dry, Icy Wind, and Frost Breath. If I wanted it to be broken?Give it a new move, Shatter. Base 50 power physical, 100 accuracy, 30% chance to freeze, guaranteed critical hit against frozen targets, but thaws them.
It’d be a legendary and have an ability that’s levitate + poison point built into one except it’s actually toxic point
>>58421553no,Ability:Serene Grace
>>58423732That doesn’t sound that broken.
That typing does a helluva lot better with Wonder Guard than Shedinja does.
Give Dragon Dance
>>58419927TTar except with Snow Warning, its major weaknesses are normally physical focused anyway. It can just eat those Earthquakes and hit back harder
>>58419927>How would you make [Ice-type] goodFast. Fat Damage. Tale as old as time, give it a Scrappy clone which allows it to hit Steel types with Poison type moves neutrally or update Corrosion to have this effect rather than just the status effect which would be the answer to wall it
>>58424964>or update Corrosion to have this effect rather than just the status effectthis should have been the case since sm first came out. Useless on salandit and salazzle, sure, as they're part Fire, but it eventually being given to mons like this would be the end goal. Heck, just make it make Poison hit Steel SE, it's not like that would be busted. Would be cool to have it to punish those steel/fairy mons. It would still be walled by any mon that resists both poison and ice independently, like poison/water, or ghost/fire, or ice/rock lmao
>>58419927I had a starter Pokemon I made as a teenager that was basically just a ice type version of Salazzle with tough claws. Funnily enough I also made it's signature move basically just Dire Claw but it only had a 20% to either freeze or poison. I also gave it dragon dance and coverage moves with water and fighting type attacks. Maybe if that pokemon was real today it would've been viable in RU or something
>>58424992>teenager>tough claws>tough claws was added in 2013wait Christ that's been 12 years ago
>>58419927Give it ass high bulk, slow and then broken ability
Give it an ability like getting burned doubles its Poison attacks. Like when you melt the tundra and release ancient viruses.
>>58424992>viable in RUassuming Salazzle's base stats (with attacking stats swapped), 111 attack + 117 base speed + dragon dance + tough claws + that coverage is nothing to laugh aboutIt'll probably be RUBL at minimum assuming current powercreep projectionspicrel's from https://www.pkmn.help/offense/ btw
>>58419927freeze dry and water absorb.
>>58426139
>IceLet's make it slow and bulky, that's a good trick.
Have it be some kind of elemental formed out of the stuff that happens when slush mixes with shitty asphalt. For those of you who don't live in an area that gets multiple feet of snow a year, that shit is noxious
>>58419927Clearly, by making it a slow, defensive type like all ice Pokemon should be.
>>58423760You know the more I think about it, you're kind of right. I think I'm too balance pilled to come up with broken things.
at least poison would cancel out ice's fighting weakness and ice beam ground types
>>58429239This!So much this
>>58419927Just make it faster
>>58431921do we have more ice/poison fakemon
>>58429857There's no reason why Ice shouldn't resist ground desu
>>58419927Deep sea mons that huff underwater sulfur vents. They are naturally toxic becausr of its consumption and are ice cold. Alternatively mon that lives in deep see brine pools that freeze organisms by touch and are also super toxic thanks to the concentration of salt.
