If they're going to be experimenting they need to have a more composed vision than what they've been doing. PLA does a decent job at exploring an older setting and has a good climax and I think the only reason this game was as fucked up as it was is because it's entirely new blood at the wheel with none of the old guard telling them what they should or shouldn't do. Trashing the entire previous game's cast for a bunch of OCs while writing a story directly tied to the events of said previous game is kind of a headass decision. The setting itself doesn't take advantage of the experiment that well and it absolutely does not look the price of admission, which to be fair none of the games since they've gone to Switch doShould have figured the potential in this game was nonexistent when TPC didn't start bothering to promote it until two months from release. Feels like even they didn't care about it

I've never felt this uninterested in progressing in a Pokemon game. The ranking system and lack of story makes it feel like I'm playing a grindy phone game.
The idea is fine the problem is that we're stuck in a city the entire time with no real environmental changes or any real diversity of Pokemon.Also it's best to stop looking at this game as legends and just look at it as XY2 in all honesty.

If they were doing these types of games on the DS or 3DS, people would eat them up. The SV and ZA graphics genuinely hurt my eyes. I've tried playing them both and I just end up so tired after around 10 minutes, not because of the gameplay, but because of my fucking eyes. Never had a problem with PLA and I love how SWSH looks, so I don't think my standards are that high.
