There isn’t anything specific to dragons beyond being powerful supernatural beasts, so the concept is going to bleed into more general ideas for Pokemon. Same with fairies being spirits of nature that can help or hinder people.

What flower is Mega Meganium inspired by? It reminds me of hydrangeas. If so I can't rightly recall hydrangeas being associated with fae in any way, I know there's a breed called fairytrail bride since I planted some a while back but that's just the name, and it's a breed with exclusively white flowers, not the colorful mix you see on Mega Meganium. I know the flower has some symbolism with vanity and posh things in some European countries, but I'm really struggling to find a reason for the Fairy type here.Also, it fucking sucks how none of the floral motifs with a lot of history in French culture were chosen for the Mega design in spite of how good they would have looked.
