People saying Golisopod is already goofy and will therefore have a goofy looking Mega are completely missing the point of it, which is that it juxtaposes a badass intimidating design with the personality of a lovable coward. Giving it a goofy design would completely ruin it both visually and conceptually (which is why it will indeed probably get a goofy looking Mega because Game Freak are fucking idiots).

>>58445335>>58445462As a huge Excadrillfag, it's in my top 10, a big reason why I love the design is that it is goofy. It's a tiny plump mole with oversized claws and a big stupid lookin' helmet - I don't see how you could look at it and NOT think it's a bit silly looking. Being able to juxtapose that with the ability to clamp itself into a drill and tear through opponents is what makes it an excellent design that can appeal to a variety of tastes through different means.But the mega? I hate it and I would argue it's because the design is trying to be more serious. It's been given more buff proportions with less hunchback in an attempt to counterbalance the size of the drills, they've given it proper "arms" instead of just flaps with claws growing out of them to justify its appearance and its boxier face closer its chest gives it a more manly anthropomorphic demeanour instead of being a weird little mole face. It's trying way too hard to be cool and it sucks for it.
