I just got done beating the mob boss dude. So I wiped my teams EV's, did the missions to get a couple of power items, bought some vitamins, and EV trained all 6 of my team members. Then I did some Mable requests and got 10 bottle caps for some hyper training. I did ranked with Barbaracle, Scolipede, and Froslass, and came in first almost every time (lowest i got was 2nd). I got my Greninjite in like 20 minutes.

Best meta I found for Ranked battles is Maxed out Speed stat with you pokemon kitted with long ranged AoE attacks and at least 1 HP Absorb attack each.Averaging 6-7 KO's and 120-140 points per match. Made it to Rank K in zero fucking time

The only reason the shiny will ever disappear is killing it, fleeing, capturing or override as said above. Daytime and Night have their own "encounter spawn table" so if you see a shiny and it turn into day/night at that exact moment, sleep on a brench and it'll reappear in the same spot again.And yes, it also affects the outside area of the wild zone as well so they can spawn ontop the buildings as well for this particular reason, despite you can't get to them yet.
