Let's you do 100 damage turn 1, and drop that 100 damage any time from hand when you draw the combo too, plus you don't even have to run any grass type mana so you could put that combo into any deck.

Anyway here's my idea for a Snorlax control deck.

Starts with Miltank stacking rollouts, rushes 100 damage Snorlax rush for follow up or alternative opener card. Searches the spare version of either copy for comfy/Snorlax EX to give free status immunity for everything because of psychic energy then has Ilima for additional heals on Snorlax or Snorlax EX and to take possible Cyrus/Sabrina/Repel/Sweet Scent targets once you're down to 2 points and just Snorlax EX so they have to deal with that last.

Feels like I've fit 1000 supporter and item cards into this deck somehow, even compared to stuff like Giratina decks or whatever.

I've had a couple good ideas about this. There is Celebi EX who gets +150 damage each stack of Ho-Oh. There is also Lanturn EX which is very powerful and can be stacked with 1 Ho-Oh due to being 1 electric 2 colorless energy cost. I believe there are also a couple water types who are strong with 1 water and 2 colorless and coin flip effects for Will. So that would facilitate Pichu/Mantyke ramp into Ho-Oh still. Of course there is also the Ho-Oh deck from the Blissy EX outbreak event but I guess you're moreso asking if there's a meta ho oh deck for ranked?

The problem I can see with that deck is that it relies on 2 3-energy attackers. You'd be running 6 basics for a 1/3 chance of starting with something to ramp with.
Lisia might end up being good for pulling them, but then you can't Leaf out of a bad lead.

honestly hydreigon is the only thing i can really imagine being all that good aside from the new megas. rampardos is STILL a relevant card, and it's basically rampardos 2.0. not being a fossil is a bit of a double-edged sword since you can't guarantee your lead to be type null, but it can also mean you just lead with deino and rare candy into hydreigon turn 3 which is an instant win against a lot of decks.
aegislash? greninja but worse. lilligant? the extra hp is worthless, grass mons are already hard to one-shot thanks to leaf cape.

both cards effectively increase the damage output you can do in a single turn. there is zero functional difference between using greninja's ability on the active and simply doing 20 extra damage with an attack, as there's no way for the opponent to respond to ituntil their turn.
aegislash boosts your output by an additional 10, however greninja can snipe the bench for cyrus plays, kill retreated babies for a free point, or just poke their next attacker on the bench because your attacker is already going to KO their active, which are all things aegislash cannot do.
simply put, nearly any deck that would consider running aegislash would be better off with greninja.

is it just me or is may really fucking good? the obvious comparison is comm, but unlike comm may lets you choose which pokemon you put back in the deck AFTER the draw, so you can use it when you have something that might be useful to keep without fear of losing it for something useless in the current situation.
and you can also draw 2 even if you only have one mon in hand, so you can dig crazy hard for that one mon you need to win.

you know what's interesting about hydreigon? it doesn't actually have to be ran in a dark deck. the thing generates its own dark energy without needing to be in the active, so you can just charge it on the bench and use it like a magnezone.
sure it can't attack twice in a row, but you can easily lyra/leaf into another attacker (or a second hydreigon if you're lucky), and a 130 hit is a hell of a lot more powerful than zone's 110 since it hits the 150 benchmark with red. as a bonus it also cleanly KOs giratina thanks to type advantage.
i won't know how it measures up to zone until i get to actually play around with the card, but there's genuine non-meme potential there.

Mega ampharos is a strange card, i have no idea how to feel about it. Its doesn’t seem bad like people are making it out to be and electric and offer it 3 energy fast with no issue. That said, the bench effect is always random and unreliable.
