It's the only official Pokemon media I interact with anymore outside of emulation. Z-A looks fun but I'd probably have to go out of my way to even pirate it to play it and that'd be several hours of my day I could be using to work on other stuff. Plus even pirating Sword was such a terrible experience I'm genuinely scared to play any Switch Pokemon game and just be hit with the most tedious, unfun gameplay I've ever seen. The problem was people refuse to roll for spotlights because these are low value. What should have happened was they created EX spotlight banners that featured the new general pool with old limited of the same type. Not new limited with old limited or this variety garbage. Imagine if these were just standalone general pool banners that included other limited they shared types with. Even after the anniversary changes the banners are still completely unsustainable. You would have to be crazy to roll on this dogshit.

I don't know the exact reason but there's just something more satisfying about clearing out the event shops of everything you want rather than collect the points. It's more work to do the math for it and it requires more stamina but there's just something about the point system that feels empty. It helps that you can avoid the items you don't want that will clutter your inventory like the yellow level up books.
