Corbeau, Grisham and Griselle even allude to the fact Lysandre had programs to help the youth in need and to provide for them. With how much of a shithole Lumiose became in ZA, I don't think Lysandre was wrong in his assertion that things were fucked and needed to change, but given Lysandre could be seen as "le hecking nartzee", there's no way in hell they would have written him with nuance, especially with how anal Nintendo of Europe was during gen 6 and 7 regarding censorship.Gen 6 as a whole also suffered tremendously due to Masuda and Sugimori's spat causing the former to get ousted from the director role and replaced with an incompetent and uncaring moron in Ohmori, who admitted himself he couldn't even be bothered to design gyms or fights for gen 6, the game was basically remade halfway through, with a bunch of plots and such being changed, Lysandre wasn't even the main antagonist, AZ was. Short of it is, it's a fucking giant mess of half-baked ideas, bad execution and horrible writing.
