Skipped these, are they secretly masterpieces? Should I play them? Trannies and goyim not liking them is a good sign
>>
shitty theme park region with tiny routes and a story that plays itself offscreen
nobody should play them
>>
>>58491611
Congratulations, you just described BW
>>
>>58491625
BW don’t have a dozen instances of something interesting happening for once, only for the UNDEFEATED CHAMPION LEON to show up and tell you “go play over there I’ll handle this”
>>
>>58491604
>Skipped these, are they secretly masterpieces?
No
>Should I play them?
They're fine overall experiences. Very odd games over all, but the dlc was pretty good. They clearly wanted the game to be open world but they didn't commit so there's this weird mishmash of sort of okay traditional routes and a single very tiny and bland open zone. Gmax is also an incredibly boring gimmick compared to Z moves, megas and Tera.
>Trannies and goyim not liking them is a good sign
Mental illness. If you seriously think like this you need to spend more time offline
>>
>let's slap a beard on kingler LMAO!
gigantamax mons were a mistake
>>58491679
>megas
>LET'S MAKE STARMIE'S LIMBS LONGER LMAO
mega evolutions were alos a mistake
so was Tera and Z-moves

People want to gaslight us into believing SwSh were good. They weren't.

In fact. They made xy feel more like a "wasted potential" game.
>>
>>58491625
No? You take part in the BW story there's no "hyper chadpion" doing everything interesting for you. You don't even beat the league before credits. In SwSh the only story happens between the last gym and the League Tournament. Eternatus appears out of fucking nothing and IT'S THE APOCALYPSIS.

The BW hate train is so retarded.

You can spam the board all day lil neet, nobody cares

Like all of the pokémon games, they've got their pros and cons.
One of the biggest con is that they feel unbelievably short. I'm talking scouring the whole region and DLC's storyline, and postgame in less than 20 hours, while taking your time. I'm excluding the Dynamax adventures from Crown Tundra as this one is pretty long, but is a completely different form of gameplay in a sense.
The story is also what happens when "people" get what they wanted for years : a champion that does something in the story. The problem here being that the champion does EVERYTHING in the story. Something interesting might happen? Champion is on the case, sorry kid but go on to the gym challenge. The "evil" teams are on the two extremes of the "unbelievably stupid" spectrum.
Towns also feels pretty barren, and dungeons are genuinely sad (Mines being the most straightforward dungeon in the series, probably, and Slumbering Wald is up in the air if it qualifies).
Most routes aren't that interesting, with a few decent one and one that is great; but the wild zone feels half baked. That being said, if you've played Scarlet and violet, I guess you could see what I mean.

For the pros, the color palette is genuinely lovely, some of the new mons and regional forms are cool, Route 9 is a genuinely fantastic route, and the DLCs' open areas are pretty great as there is actual elevation this time.
I've tried my best to be pretty objective and fair in this criticism, Anon, so do with these informations as you will.
I haven't breached the topic of D-max and G-max compared to other generational gimmicks, because it's really up to you on how much you like them aesthetically.

>you care enough to spam every thread
yes and? gayfreak is lazy and they need to be ridiculed into oblivion for their shitty games and shitty pokemon designs
>>
>>58491604
I actually really enjoyed these games and the reason why I did was because
>you can train Pokemon as easily and for free as you can in gen 7 using Poke Jobs, passively
This is how I have 400+ Pokemon at level 100 in HOME currently
>Battle Tower was a perfect on-ramp for online play
It wasn't a traditional tower since it used the ranking system that was also used in online play, but I thought this was a very fair version of the Battle Tower with the exception of the fact that there are very little Dynamax sets trainers use while you can always Dynamax once per-battle.
>the DLC made good on the promise that the Wild Area originally gave
>the DLC added in two very well designed battle facilitites
Restricted Sparring is essentially GF's first shot of making nuzlocke style gameplay relevant in an official capacity (or maybe the Battle Castle is depending on how you view healing). Endless Dynamax Adventure is basically Battle Factory but co-op and makes the best use out of the raid system in those games. These are both very fun to explore and interact with and in my opinion, if either were in the Battle Frontier in any capacity in Emerald, they'd solidly be above things like the Battle Arena, Palace and Factory for objectively good facilities.
>support for multiplayer
Trainer Cards being swappable was a very fun mechanic, the whole open world area being a hub for multiplayer and camping to showcase your team was a very interesting and unique design despite it not being that in-depth (with local multiplayer, you could see players in real time around you), Battle Competitions being able to be hosted locally was great but ultimately was underutilized on account of COVID and of course the competitive ranked seasons when they were going on was fantastic. I put this lower on my post because a lot of these things were dependent on an active player base, which is hard to maintain for a game that is five years old with other iterations releasing since then.

You're really showing them by posting all day from your parents' house sis
>>
>>58491604
Definitely play them for porn context
>>
>>58491604
They're actually pretty decent
>>
>>58491604
Play it and find out
>>
>>58491604
Lowest point of this god damn franchise.
>>
>>58491604
I skipped them when they first released and played them for the first time earlier this year. I guarantee if it wasn't for the dexit controversy these would be considered some of the most forgettable games in the series.

>>58491604
With the dlc they're fun

The crown tundra was kino.
Isle of Armor was cool too.
The whole storyline for SWSH should've been focused on the lore and history instead the league.

rent free

Beat gym 1. Dont have a set team, recommend some cool team members, doesnt have to be Galar mons.
>>
>>58491604
God no. The DLC is alright, but the main game is easily the worst in the franchise.

Legends Galar will do this TRUST

>>58491604
No, they're dogshit.
>B-but it's good with DLC!
Imagine getting baited into investing more money in a shit game to make it kinda decent.

Don't touch it. Emulate it if you're curious I guess, but personally I wished I never played them, let alone bought them. Only Pokémon game I truly regret buying.
>>
>>58491604
The wild area fucking sucks, the dlc wild area are better but they still look like a students attempt to make an open world game. And raid battles are boring.

Other than that, it's fine. The new pokemon are hit and miss like every gen, the starters are shit but there's tons of pokemon in every route, and you get access to the wild area very early so you're bound to find SOMETHING you will want. Customisation is fine, scaling is fine, if you're getting a physical copy you can find an edition with all the dlc on cart now without having to find a certain reprint type so that's pretty cool to.

>>58494595
Dlc or no dlc?

I had fun but apparently that's not allowed
