Alphas in PLA>aura farming>the top of the crew joins your teamAlphas in ZA>gigantic hitbox>you can't see running around the city>asked to be raped online
>>58491880mega evolutions were a mistake
>>58491880Alphas in PLXA aren't totally useless since while their hitbox is bigger, their area of attack is also larger. So it's a tradeoff. I've seen plenty of people run and succeed with alphas in ranked
I thought aura farming was an insult (pretending to be cool).I can't keep track of modern slang.
>>58491890Problem is that that's ALSO a tradeoff. It's good for moves that radiate around the user like Dig and EQ (which is why Alpha Garchomp and Excadrill are by far some of the most common) but it can also completely fuck up projectiles. My Alpha Scolipede's Gunk Shot flew right over a Gardevoir's head because it came close to do Draining Kiss (clearly stalling for time because Psyshock was on CD) and it lost me the interaction
>>58491880I also see some attacks fail if a small enemy is too near the alpha. Its retardedly bad. Game freak's QA is a fucking noodle strainer.
>>58491880Wait, so the bigger size of Alphas is actually taken into account for battles and isn't purely cosmetic? So there's a reason to raise non-Alphas and Alphas?
>>58492679Basically. Some moves get more range the bigger You are
Wait, alphas are actually worse than regular pokemon?
>>58491890steelix benafits being a alpha. simply because steelix is already a big and heavy pokemon. and when you mega evolve steelix it moves faster. so add EQ & heavy slam a rock move and some defensive option then you can pull off some good multi kills in pvp.
>>58491892modern slang isn't about what it means, its about what you think it means.
