The villain saga of battle masters make it clear he's a complete bastard of a person, to the point he lashed out at N while the entire cast of Unova watched and were beyond pissed at him, Hilbert, Hilda, Nate, Rosa, Cheren, Hugh and Biancia despise Ghetsis and the only reason Ghetsis is still on the island is because he and the other villain groups, Rocket, Magma,Aqua,Skull, Flare and Break are kinda in a stalmate with each other because each leader controls a legendary pokemon and an all out fight wouldn't do anything but destroy the island, on top of that, their are various elite four and champion level trainers on the island who won't sit by and let them fight each other which would result in complete chaos so they have to play nice while scheming in the back ground for now. Marcos Cosmos and Aeither Foundation staff are also on the island as well but their "villainy" is next to nil because Lusamine and Rose aren't as crazy as Giovanni,Archie,Maxie,Lysandre, Cyrus and Guzma is still simping for Lusamine

He's designed to be purely evil with no redeeming qualities.
