Might be a stretch, but has anyone tried hunting for shiny Pichu? I've been going in and out of the Research Lab to reset for about 7 hours and haven't had a single shiny in Wild Area 1 show up, but got 3 shiny Pidgeys just outside this way. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a better strat?

What really sucks about this hunt is that there's no reasonable way to reset for furfrou. I only have up to wild zone 12 unlocked. I don't wanna move further without my ideal team. I was gonna do my last two pokemon as a roserade and furfrou, but shiny mega garde fits the aesthetic I want. It was under consideration before but I figured I'd hit the budew before that. On that note, can pokemon on roofs be shiny when you're fast traveling to a cafe or whatever, if they're in range, or is there something weird preventing that? None of the shinies I found were on a roof.

If you don't climb the ladder and use the teleporter up to Flaffy the Pikachu will not be spawned. But if you climb the ladder or just jump off the flaffy roof which I find faster it will spawn and since the flaffy roof is within the 70 meter despawn radius you can still see the pikachu. if just teleporting under it spawned it in you'd see it from the flaffy roof with out needing to spawn it first. Also I literally just went to test this myself when I thought of it can got both a shiny houndour and flaffy lol.

I also got the eevee which is cool. I've almost hit everything in range of the 18 bench except Lopunny. The only other is Altaria and maybe the Gastly and Mawile if those are actually in range. I'm now on 28 phases almost a full box. Also if you're resetting the bench there is also a lamppost Pidgey thats in range by the gate under Eevee. Not very exciting but haven't seen anyone else mention it so it's probably worth checking if you reset the bench alot. I probably had it sitting there shiny for awhile without knowing.

Took me about 5 hours with charm to get shiny Pinsir. Idk if that's about right or not but that's what happens anons when you only have 2 spawns. Very different shiny hunting meta than SV. Not sure if I like it better or not but I'm getting big dopamine hits when I find one when I'm derping around the city. It's a nice change regardless after 1000+ hours in SV.
