Man, removing abilities was a strange decision but the stance change animations on Aegislash killed any prospect of using it in battles. While it switches form, it takes way too much damage as it does that animation each time.I spent hours to grind Honedge to Doublade thinking that it will be valuable member like in previous games but this shit makes me mad.Also, non-megas are basically useless in Rogue Mega battles as the damage output is abysmally low. BTW, is there anything special about moves like Rollout, Heat Crash and Flame Wheel? They feel a bit different and powerful.

I grinded up to Rank E in online and I have to say I'm really not enjoying this battle mode. Everything about it feels awful to play. The invincibility provided by Mega Evolving is way too generous and moves like Fly and Dig seem to have almost no counter play, especially since all that matters is dealing the final blow. Plus I'm at the point where EVERY enemy team is some combination of Gyarados, Gardevoir, Excadrill, Garchomp, Metagross, and Dragonite. Hopefully after the backlash they got for locking Megas behind this they abandon the practice after Chesnaught.
