>Zygarde's BST: 708
>Mega Zygarde's BST: 778 instead of 808
Why???
>>
>>58495363
It'd be to powerful, pls understand. Can't have it outmatch Mewtwo
>>
>>58495363
780 is the new official arbitrary cutoff
>>
>>58495363
Literally too fucking strong. It's already insanely OP with that special attack and Nihil Light anyway
>>
>>58495375
50% Zygarde with thousand arrows is already better than Mega Mewtwo lmao
>>
>>58495726
it has to drop to 50% and enter complete forme before you can even mega evolve good luck actually even getting a nihil light off once you reach that point
>>
>>58495363
>Swinub used Powder Snow!
>>
>>58495363
Can't risk it being better than Mega Rayquaza.
The item, ability, and 50% HP requirement weren't enough, apparently.
>>
>>58495735
You gain HP back when you change to complete form, and you can just use resttalk.
>>
>>58497327
The attack dog, horses, and Miraidon are already better than mega fug
>>
>>58497327
Power creep has caught up to Mega Fug. By modern standards it'd be in line with the horses, bikes, dogs, Lunala, and Xerneas. Damage-wise, LO Mega Rayquaza is weaker and slower than Koraidon.

252 Atk Life Orb Rayquaza-Mega Dragon Ascent vs. 252 HP / 20 Def Calyrex-Ice: 118-140 (57 - 67.6%)
252 Atk Life Orb Orichalcum Pulse Koraidon Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 20 Def Calyrex-Ice: 126-149 (60.8 - 71.9%)

Probably because of Nihil Light (I suspect this attack will cost 1PP, by the way).
A bit like Ultra Necrozma, which goes from 680 to 754. To compensate for the presence of a Z-move that Mega Pokémon cannot use.
>>
>>58498371
It should be noted that even though Mega Fug has the advantage of having DD over Koraidon, it is a Pokémon that will take 25% damage from Stealth Rock every time it enters the field if it is not wearing boots.
The new move system means that it loses access to V-Create.
And even though it has 780 BST, it has 180 in its special attack. So either you play it physically and lose 180 in dead stat, or you play it mixed. You can never take advantage of its unpredictability because the obligation to play Dragon Ascent does not allow for purely special sets.
>>
>>58498923
lolno, nihil light has the same pp as core enforcer
>>
>>58499020
For now. They could change it in Champions.
>>
>>58499020
Because you think that in traditional turn-based combat, you'll be able to spam Nihil Light without any restrictions? It's 200 BP, as a reminder.

For comparison, the signature moves of Solgaleo, Lunala, and Ultra Necrozma are 100 BP (like Core Enforcer). Then, when you use the signature Z-move, it's 200 BP (like Nihil Light).

On the other hand, Nihil Light needs pretty complicated setup to be used. We may guess if Mega Zygarde will be difficult to use or not, but the big question is if GF's prediction and balancing will be enough. This kind of a multi-layered setup is kind of a novel idea for GF.
