R8 my thunderbird line
>>
>>58495836
Looks like Gen 9 artwork
>>
>>58495836
I like the first one but the 2 others needs to be more stylized and streamlined
>>
Looks like a gen 8-9 mon. That's not a compliment btw
>>
>>58495880
What do you mean by “more stylized and streamlined”?
>>
keep stage 2's eyes in stage 3 and you have yourself a mon
>>
>>58495836
the third one reminds me of a gargoyle so maybe lean into that more
>>
>>58495836
the last one looks like it has a hotdog sausage on it's head. otherwise it's cool. i like the ugly duckling turning into a badass thunder eagle
>>
>>58496013
The final stage is supposed to be an Andean condor.

Pokemon designs are cartoonish compared to other monster capture series and like with cartoon characters you emphasize and exagurate different body parts while streamlining their look to make them easy to read without adding unneseccary fluff that obscure and bloats their design
All Pokemon are supposed to look like someone who could be your friend, that's why Pokemon is able to reach such a wide audience
>>
A thunderbird pokemon should be a 'legendary' pokemon like Arcanine and Volcarona. You should be able to take one look at it and immediately take away that it probably inspired a lot of folklore in its region.
Kilowattrel but a vulture and two ugly first stages aren't doing that desu
>>
>>58496135
You’re right. An updated version will come soon.
>>
>>58495836
If that final stage isn't -at least- 4m tall its not even worth doing.
>>
>>58496018
I get that but references aren't known by many. When something looks like that people will focus on it.
Like I remember some anons here getting shocked about finding the gen5 monkeys were based the three wise monkeys sayings. A lot of references/irl animals are lost in translation

now now david, it's not nice to trick all the newfags into engaging with your endless redesign cycle
>>
>>58496545
how else is he supposed to get people to pay attention to him?

I've redesigned the head for the final stage to look more fearsome.

>>
>>58497432

This doesn't feel like a Route 1 mon, which makes the middle stage redundant. Also make the head bigger.
>>
>>58497630
Well, it’s supposed to be a pseudo-legendary line.
>>
>>58495836
This is just a regional Mandibuzz.
>>
Is it supposed to be a regional variant of the Mandibuzz line?
>>
>>58495836
kino
>>
first stage is cute but needs another art pass to look more pokemony

Thundor's signature move
Storm Wing - Electric - Special - 100BP - 5PP - 95% - The user flaps its wings to unleash lightning strikes at the target. This turns the ground into Electric Terrain for five turns.
>>
>>58495836
Thunderbird? More like hot dog bird
>>
>>58499255
The yellow head on the mid stage looks so much better and I'm a big fan of how you drew the first stage here.
