Think it'll be obtainable via the DLC? I think Sun and Moon had a bunch of Mega Stones only available via participating in Battle Spot seasons, but none of those were brand new, you could trade with someone to obtain them, and USUM had all of them available within the base game. Not to mention that there wasn't a subscription service to even connect to the Internet on the console.
