(I haven't been following Pokémon as much since the Switch era, so I'm not too confident for Gens 8 and 9)
You forgot eevee for Gen 1.

You need to be able to understand different types of shilling still mean the same thing. And while espurr has been shilled in terms of gen 6, but of course it isnt on the level of some of the big ones. But it still is shilling nonetheless. Like gen 5 technically wouldnt have a single pokemon because all of them listed, pale in comparison to many others on the list but that doesnt mean they arent shilled for gen 5

This seems difficult. Charizard/Pikachu/Lucario are blatantly on a higher level of promotion than some of the others who are more casual.

I think there's actually a weird case for Swanna. It doesn't seem like a Pokemon they market a lot but when you look back on how many times it features in merch, or how often it's used in advertisements or put to the forefront of attention (being one of the first to appear in the gen 5 anime for example, or being used for early BW2 cinematics) it's a surprisingly common Pokemon within media even now.
