The only hard part about DQ11 is the post game gauntlets. You get plenty of weapons, armor, and spells to trivialize so much of the game.

The ONLY reason Red/Blue are easy is because of retarded AI, if trainers knew to just spam Tackle you'd get rekt before Cerulean

correct
>>
>>58508106
Then why not give it all to your starter?
>>
>>58508167
congrats you just described the problem of having no exp share
>>
>>58508098
The RB trainer also have really bad moves, but for the AI dealing with a predictable one is likely easier then a psuedo random one with actual moves since you have to consider all their options.

There is nothing wrong with grinding
>>
>>58508171
That's the problem with Pokemon in general, unless you're hitting level cap at some point a single Pokemon is almost always stronger than a balanced team
>>58508212
There's a difference between functional unpredictability and hitting Stun Spore/Poisonpowder for the fifth turn in a row
>>
>>58508248
except it's the worst part of pokemon apart from catching pokemon

There isn't and nobody ever had an issue with it. The problem was that it used to be an option and then they took away that option for no reason, without any justification and provided nothing to replace the option to turn it off.
>>
>>58508667
the justification is that there’s no reason to turn it off
>>
>>58508680
Which is retarded because the reason is to allow the player to have a different leveling experience at their leisure. If the player wants to have a lower level party for a challenge, why should they not have the option available to them?
>>
>Exp Share(able to turn it off)
Fantastic.
>Exp Share(unable to turn it off)
Don't mind it all that much.
>Exp Charm and Exp Share both forced to be on at all times
Fuck off
>>
>>58507993
There is no problem with Exp. Share whatsoever, there's a big problem with the fact that the games have never evolved beyond the scope of the originals and still use the same progression/level scaling as the originals. Blue's Ace in the very first games of the series was level 65. The final level of the main story in SV is 67. That's a two level fucking difference 25 years later, you'd think the games would at some point get longer and compensate for their own quality of life improvements but nah.
>>
>>58508691
>Which is retarded because the reason is to allow the player to have a different leveling experience
For what purpose?

>muh challenge
Then you should be asking for the game to be harder. Muh toggle has no correlation with difficulty.
>>
>>58508764
Are you stupid? No shit it's for an extra challenge, dumbass. It's a choice, an option. It existed as an option from the beginning and removing the option without any real justification is not reasonable.

>Ask for the games to be harder
Something people that have played these games have been doing from the start, retard. And this was an option that allowed for things to be more difficult if the player wished to do so.

Less EXP = lower levels = harder difficulty, by default. Lower levels means monsters don't evolve as early as they could, meaning lower base stats, weaker moves. It forces the player to have to switch into other mons to gain reasonable EXP in battle, forcing them to have to consider options or be stuck with a low level team.
>>
>>58508813
>It existed as an option from the beginning
And it has no reason to exist as an option, which is why they removed it. You may as well screech about Deposit and Withdraw being removed.

>And this was an option that allowed for things to be more difficult
If you want to be retarded and shoot yourself in the foot to make the game more difficult there are Lready countless ways to do that. What you actually want is for the game to just be harder. So ask for that instead of screeching for a pointless toggle.

>Less EXP = lower levels = harder difficulty, by default
>>58508015
>>
>>58508015
I prefer it being a toggle, when off it acts as a soft "hard" mode, also the game being so easy, doesn't need to be EVEN EASIER! But hey that's just me.
>>
>>58508850
I prefer the game being harder over having to toggle an option that has no real reason to exist and doesn’t actually make the game harder.
>>
>>58508887
You and know they'll never try a hard mode again, buddy, I just my scraps at the least no need to be filthy cunt at the prospect of an option because it morally offends you.
>>
>>58507993
>>58508015
samefag
>>
>>58508903
Good thing they don’t need to make a hard mode and instead already made multiple games harder than BW2 then, huh?
>>
>B2W2
Oh you were schizo, moving on.

being able to level all of my pokemon at once is great, almost every jrpg since the dawn of fucking time lets you level at least half your party at the same time
the problem is that game freak don't know how to balance fucking anything. i can sweep the entire game with one pokemon disregarding extreme type disadvantages, so when all of my pokemon get to be the same level there isn't even a hint of a challenge. they could easily fix this with soft level caps, giving more trainers 6 pokemon, soft limits on healing, (many rom hacks do one or more of these) but nah it's a baby game for babies so we gotta shit our fucking diapers
>>
>>58508928
What other game has a hard mode?
>>
I'm not even against the Exp Share but...
>>58508764
>Muh toggle has no correlation with difficulty.
False. Lower level is a difficulty thing.
Multiple games have lower Exp intake as a major part of their hard modes. Like Fire Emblem.
>>58508844
>Less EXP = lower levels = harder difficulty, by default
>>58508015
Yes, other parts also has an impact on difficulty.
Levels and exp intake still make up a notable part of difficulty.
Ultra Sun, the hardest pokemon game on there, is significantly harder if you toggle the Exp Share off. The early gen games would become even more laughably easy with it.
>"But grinding"
Grinding to beat something is admitting it is too hard for you and powering up to beat it.
