Is there any real difference between bench & fast travel except for the former being easier to automate? I've seen some people say that bench resets the whole area rather than 50m but can't get a straight answer

i have an old cheap mytrix one that did the trick with just A button turbo and down pushed down with a hairtie but i've heard that the mini 8bitdos also work
