So some quick maths: mean rate for alpha is 5%, 1/20. I’ve heard it gets as high as 20%, 1/5. There are 40 or so (a youtube video said 40, I won’t double check) pokemon in the Zone 20 alpha spawn pool. If you are looking for two catches which only have the lowest alpha rate of 1/20, you are getting the same odds as randomly rolling either of those in Zone 20, provided they’re both in that list. If you’re looking for three or more with the base rate, you have a better option of rolling them in the center than rolling their spawn as an alpha.
60 hours and I still don't have any of the 3 shinies I want to have before continuing the story.
