If Game Freak was a legitimate small indie company like they claim to be then an 8/10 would be a fine score for their game. No one expects an indie game to look good or be 100% bug free or be full of content. Game Freak released an indie tier game, at an AAA game price, and they did this knowing they have enough money to make an AAAA quality game and that the profits from this game would still justify the costs.

People are complaining about the price. The problem with the game is that it's just one city and so people don't feel like you get a lot of content for what you pay for. I think the game is too competently done from a technical standpoint (by Gamefreak standards I mean) to deserve that low of a score though. I think it should be closer to a 6/10

>>58514255It’s a bad game that looks very bland, an outdated ui, poor texture quality, a milquetoast story with poor dialogue and cringe gen-z characters, offers very little amount of choice aside from aesthetics and Pokemon for a modern RPG, lacks any and all polish, is a product of an unhealthy and largely unsustainable production model and all and all was made to sell toys to children and autistic man children. I wouldn’t give it even a 4/10 personally.
