I did to construct a formal opinion on it, specifically Emerald's Battle Frontier. It took me 2 1/2 years to complete from beating the E4 to getting the last gold symbol I needed.
My opinion on it is that the worst part about it is building up streaks again when you have to go against NFEs and weaker teams at the start of streaks, and while Unova fixed this issue, of course the Unova games only had the PWT.
It should have come back in ORAS for sure and everything else we've had since this really hasn't been the same. Even the Platinum Battle Frontier was lesser as the battle rules were less creative. Building a team was the 2nd hardest part and ORAS were so good for creating teams ingame.
Fingers crossed Champions makes up for this.

Yes. I would sink hundreds of hours into that shit. I don't think online is a good substitute for this content and in general I really don't want to play online with other people all that much.
