Why doesn't Gallade get shilled as much?
it gets shilled more than it should relative to its popularity. It's not that popular because its an ugly design. and it gets shilled in order to make gardevoir seem more like a waifumon by contrast. aall gallaade shilling is quasi-gardevoir shilling.

Mega Medicham existence who hit way harder without set-up and compensated it's lower speed with nuclear priority was already a better pick, Lucario and Lopunny were better fighting megas and Metagross and said Medicham were better physical psychic megas, it wasn't helped by that shitty Inner Focus who made it a offensive M-Kang check but no one would pick M-Gallade just for Kang, especially when you could pick Zard for sun, Mance and Gard for boosted spread moves and the former being able to pack phys moves as well, Kang who still hit very hard since it was the not nerfed PB ability. It's a popular mega design wise, but it's so average most people don't even bother with it, especially now with even more new physical megas for fighting and psychic coming along as well, but who knows perhaps the new boosted Inner Focus who blocks intimidate or ability change to something like sharpness like it's normal form could save it.

Gallade was created because GameFreak became aware of people waifuing Gardevoir, but they mistakenly believed that people wanted to self-insert as a pokemon.
gallade and gardevoir still have notabbly different personalities. Gallade isn't quite just a doover of gardevoir's original intention. All of gallade's dex entries emphasize its martial prowess as opposed to gardevoir's which foxus on its devotion and proctiveness. gallade is characterized more as a noble traveling duelist. it wants to go aroudn proving itself against other strong fighters and protecting trainers is just incidental.

GameFreak has been hellbent on catering to trannies for years, and a more macho alternative to a male Gardevoir is simply too problematic.
Gardevoir carries Gallade so hard. Otherwise give him a palatte swap and he's just like all of those other edgymons.
