Raichu's also split the difference, Mega Raichu Y is terrible while Mega Raichu X is abyssmal, so Raichu ends up as horrendous for it.It really did feel like this generation had no proper direction with its Pokemon, the rather haphazard inclusion of Convergent Evolutions, the sparse and now seemingly extinct Regional Variants/Evolutions and just the tone a lot of the designs amongst the Generation IX Pokemon feel more like they couldn't actually come up with a proper dex in time and so scrounged up a lot of old ideas discarded from other generations and just used them to fill out the dex.Compared to other generations even Generation VIII where I dislike the designs overall more, at least there's a sense of identity between most of the Pokemon, indifferent to any gimmicks.
