>>58534458The complaining died down pretty quickly once people learned how easy it was. Most of the anger now is simply the fact that the mega stones were locked in the first place. Kalos starter megas should've been able to be used in the main story.

I went with Emboar as my starter so mega gren was always going to be the Kalos starter I kept on the team for my playthrough regardless (even tho I'm more interested in the other 2 overall.) But I feel like it was also just intentional to get people to at least dip their toes into the multiplayer. I was actually surprised how I was enjoying the multiplayer when getting the gren stone, would be nice however if there could be other game modes to play in, like 2v2s or an objective based mode to freshen up the sandbox and to create different metas. I'll just be retiring my Emboar and saving the mega delphox stone for my DLC playthrough later.
>>58534497I don't think it would be that bad if they locked some other mega stones. You can lock stuff like Metagross, Gyarados, etc... stones to online. Still high incentive for people to participate but starter stones was just bullshit
The problem was that not everyone can get through the game and be ready for online within 3 weeks of the game's release.Sure, I had the game 100% in 5 days, but that's a lot if time to dedicate in a short span.
