>>58547729>he didn't play the Path of Tenacity>>58547743A few reasons, but the biggest one is how opponents in PLA make use of the same tools the player has available in ways one would except them to be used, and any that aren't (e.g. 3 Pokémon out at once) are in the opponents' favor, but still can be overcome by the player reasonably. Unfortunately, this doesn't show its potential until the postgame.I am so fed up with Pokémon games where 99% of opponents don't use held items (PLA and LGPE lack it altogether, so they're excused) and have their gimmick so scripted without reason to the point it has become way too predictable and mind-numbingly boring. The only reason SV DLC is ranked higher than LGPE is because half of the BBA trainers use held items beyond slapping a Sitrus Berry on one Pokémon and hoping for the best.

I too think its world is barren and really hate the 50 Bidoofs must-suck-off-GO gameplay loop. I was simply surprised that something decent was salvaged out that mess of a battle system and appalled about how everything else up for comparison in this thread aside from B2W2 are worse.
