I've noticed that when it comes to discussions on what are the hardest and easiest champion battles, Kukui and Hau rarely get brought up, and when they do, they're sometimes dismissed as being among the easiest... but then you have to remember that SM/USUM not only have the improved Exp Share but also the Affection mechanic, which can make most battles a breeze.

But assuming you're not abusing the Exp Share and aren't using Poké Refresh at all, I think these two are fairly challenging. At the very least, they're far from being the easiest in the series. What's your opinion on this?
>>
>>58555015
>champion
????
>>
>>58555015
I think Hau loves penis and my MC topped him until he blacked out violently ejaculating.
>>
>>58555015
I geniunely dont remember them at all which is basically means i didnt really care for their battles
>>
>>58555015
Been a while since I played gen 7 but I don't remember them being any particular difficulty. Guess that means they were very mild
Also replacing Kukui with Hau was a mistake
>>
>>58555026
I know they're not the champions, (You) are. But you still fight them after the Elite Four for the final battle, which is why I specified "champion battles". Don't act like a retard.
>>
>>58555015
Some people don't consider them champions since they technically aren't so they aren't brought up in the discussion
Nobody who played the game would consider them easier than the rest thought
And story wise they are better than most champions
>>
>>58555026
you literally battle them for the championship, come on anon

Technically he's not a Champion but imo Kukui is one of the best "Trainer you fight after defeating the Elite Four"
>>
>>58555015
It's not hard at all when you actually use the game's mechanics like Exp Share and Poké Refresh like intended instead of trying to make things challenging like a faggot by avoiding everything.
>>
>>58555015
Not very high.
They just aren't that notable, and you kinda just run over them. Better than Diantha, worse than Leon.
Actually, "worse than Leon" is... VERY apt. Especially for Kukui.

Fighting Kukui as the Champion equivalent was based as fuck imo, especially given that he had been established as a proper battling Trainer given his focus on Z-Moves, the fact that he could get Guzma to fuck off immediately, and being the Masked Royale.
It’s a shame that they replaced him with Hau in USUM, but that’s just another entry in the long list of narrative fuckups they made with those games.
>>
>>58555081
I think it would be fair to say he's the "provisional champion" as he was an accomplished trainer, organized and ran the league, and having A trainer take the place of a champion for the e4 is important as every subsequent challenger would ALSO have to fight a champion, whether it's the current reigning champion or the institutional, recurring one. I mean, you can canonically rematch champions in every other game and they're still there even though you're the champ now, so them being provisional champions as well makes complete sense.
>>
>>58555026
Fpbp, these two clowns could never
>>
>>58556426
Kukui was great for SM's story, but the changes to Hau's story in USUM had to inevitably lead to him actually fighting you in the final battle. Instead of just dropping out of the plot because he sucks shit in SM, you instead actually see him training, finishing his island trial, and he sort of becomes the Red to your Blue in making it just a little too late. That would have been great if USUM were the actual anniversary game, as that's an actual interesting parallel to Kanto instead of just a rerun or a reference of varying degrees of quality, but whatever.

Speaking of Hau, remember that gay shit?
> all his promos prior to launch was him looking mad
> speculations if he will turn into a salty rival or a villain
> turned out jack fucking shit after all
That fucking game, man
Ultra Megalopolis
The Dream Park
“ULTRA CHANGES”
Dusk Lycanroc
All the same thing, overhyped for nothing
>>

I remember Hau needing his boy hole bullied by my penis
>>
>>58555015
I can’t even remember their champion battles. I think Kukui had the starter strong to yours and a Lycanroc?

Yes, as well as his rematches
Speaking of, this little shit was one of potential rivals
>>
>>58555015
I play the same since XY
>only activate exp share in gyms/team raids
>never use refresh outside occasional petting
Kukui was 10 levels over me and that Primarina piece of shit was one of the biggest roadblocks i ever faced
>>
>>58557360
This, same with ORAS
Steven was a massive roadblock… if it wasn’t for my Skarmory I would’ve lost
For anyone is planning to replay gen6 or 7
Turning off the exp + avoid pointless grinding , the game will be significantly challenging especially USUM
>>
>>58557325
wtf isn't that a kid from the first island
>>
>>58555015
All Pokemon games are easy and designed for toddlers.
>>
>>58555081
It helps that its a nod to the first games where Oak was supposed to be the last challenge
>>
>>58557415
Yes, and he is back with vengeance…. or at least he tried
>>
>>58555026
>>58555070

Okay, but then we need to disqualify N as he immediately closed Pokemon League after defeating Alder without being recorded in Hall of Fame.
>>
>>58557539
N isn't a champion, people who say so are just shitposting
>>
>>58557596
he's in the same position as blue is in rby. If n's not a champion neither is blue.
>>
>>58558224
Blue defeats the elite 4
>>
>>58558233
And N doesn't?
>>
>>58558276
In a official battle with all the badges?
>>
>>58558452
Does that matter?
>>
>>58558452
You didn't answer the question.

Their teams have optimized natures/IVs/EVs so they're automatically harder than 90% of Pokémon final bosses.
>>
>>58558490
Yes
>>58558638
The question is flawed
>>
>>58558838
Why? Anybody who beats a champion is a champion.
>>
>>58558884
Nope. SV for example explains very clearly that you not only need to get all the badges, but also do an exam. And anyone who says he doesn't like Pokemons, will never be considered a champion
>>
>>58557010
It is kind of funny that your relationship with Hau is effectively a role reversal of Red and Blue, just now you're Blue, and being the main character you win
>>
>>58555015
Kukui was a moderate challenge. Hau was a joke

I find Hau to be an ugly character so I will stab him with a kitchen knife.

Paldea uses a different league system though.
