Question, what are Watchog's eyes? Is is just the pinpricks black pupils, with the red and yellow stripes just being markings on the fur, or are the eyes just massive?

I'm aware jobmons existed in Gen 1 with examples like Machamp and Chansey, but i suppose their roles warranted more of a video game character than a cross guard. The eyes, and yes im aware the eyes are actually quite beady and the red/yellow is just fur coloring/markings. I just can't unsee it. I personally also feel its just not interesting compared to other early route rodents. Id much prefer literally anything before it, but nothing after is better for sure. It's just "mid," so sorry to put a couple of buzzwords on your screen. Thanks for asking.
