Honestly, been having a fun time using mega garchomp in za. I was never fond of the mega design and with it being worse than base ive never touched it. ZA gives me a good appreciation for it. I had mine on assault vest but i do think having the option to mega is better

At least people will run zygarde to out fug. You get iframes during the 100% transformation and then another set during the mega animation. Nihil light is also comes out pretty fast and one shots any fug variant. Xerneas is only really hard countered by slowbro and steelix. Even metagross isn't a super hard counter anymore since a lot are running the steel berry.

Hard to say. While it is very fast and strong, 4x weakness to Ice without Delta Stream will likely keep it in check, as will other Rayquaza because of its Dragon typing. Also, Metagross being physically-leaning in a meta with physically defensive Steel-Types could give it trouble, as will the abundance of Fairy-Types. Plus, it's not as bulky as Xerneas and doesn't have an equivalent to Geomancy

No, it's almost universally HP/offensive stat. If you wanna do the calcs yourself, you can give up some attack to add to your defense to survive attacks against specific threats, like Skarmory's brave bird because your emboar is a fighting type etc.
