Dont really understand this one? Sorry. What's the dichotomy here?>Would you increase Exp earned per fight to create less grinding in Pokemon games, or reduce Exp and make the game even more about the turn based gameplay combat?I have a radical solution in mind which is doing away with exp and levels entirely. They could operate on a rank up system instead, and you rank up on getting a badge, so the devs know at any time what rank/power level you should be and can design enemy trainers and encounters accordingly. Also, I'd like to just rebalance the game around full healing after every encounter. A lot of pokemon battles are designed to wear you down over the course of a route, take some pp and deal some chip damage, so by the end of the route even though each fight was easy the entire trip was difficult. Instead, if every battle started at full hp, each fight could be hard enough to threaten sweeping you, where without full healing a full route of battles that can sweep you is asking a bit too much.
Good thread question answering morning For me it's neither I guess for me thd msin appeal is just existing in a pojemon world for a little while, and doing lots of things in the game, and the story and battling are just 1 part of it.I like what SV did, where you can fight all thr trainers and be a bit overleveled, ignore many trainers snd not be so high level, or defeat a casual amount and be about the same level as an opponent. That was a comfy way to handle exp
