Sand is the workin' man's weather, you city slickers 'n your fancy schmancy rain, sun, snowGet chipped, idiot
Sand needs some buffs desu
Get this man a shrue...>>58625525ground types get +50% to special defense, rock moves gain 1.3x accuracyez fix
>>58625525It’s weird Sand doesn’t affect Meteorbeam similar to what Sun does for Solarbeam
>>58625558Because they don't know if they really want sand to effect rock/steel/and ground. Sun + grass has always been consistent. But sand feels like theyre still testing the waters between what types it should buff and what types it shouldn't. They obviously know steel is already too strong but they just don't know what to do with sand
>>58625575Sand's main advantage is that 3 entire types can run under it. It's not as powerful I'd say as rain or sun, but I find it to be more flexible, and that's what appeals to me about it.
i think there should be more variety in viable sand setters/abusers if sand wants to be a good weathergoing off of primarily abilities alone since there aren't any moves that benefit from sand besides shore up, and excluding mons that clearly have much better abilities to runsteel has no sand setters and exactly 3 abusers, but only one of which matters (excadrill; the other two are mega steelix and alolan dugtrio)ground has 2 setters (hippowdon, sandaconda) and a bunch of abusers (sandslash, excadrill, palossand, mega steelix, alolan dugtrio, mega garchomp)rock has 2 setters (tyranitar and gigalith) and somehow only one abuser that isn't really better off running anything else (lycanroc)for non-ground/rock/steel sand abusers there's>dracovish>dracozolt>stoutland>houndstoneall ground/rock/steel types i didn't mention either want to be used under a different weather or don't really care about what weather they're under besides not being chipped by sandstorm
>>58625580>3 entire types can run under itThe main benefit being that you don't get chipped? Kinda lame if you ask me. They should remove the chip and replace it with something else. >keep 50% spdef for rock types>give rock moves 10%+ accuracy (if you dont want to make them 100% accuracy) Give some minor boost to ground/steel moves if not some kind of minor defensive buff like rock
>>58625710Chip works against lefties and can make ranges that otherwise wouldn't be viable, viable. Sand has benefits they're just not as flashy as some of the other weather
