It being able to be male or female, instead of genderless or at least locked to a specific gender, would strongly indicate it's not meant to be a singular being and likely wasn't originally designed as a one-off encounter.

Heatran should have been a pseudo and Rotom and Spiritomb should have been legendaries. Spiritomb should have had 580 bst and have 40 speed and 108 everywhere else, there shouldn’t be the hidden guy that gives you an odd keystone before Hearthome, only the one on the other side of the pond in Twinleaf should exist (why are there even two of them in the first place?) so that Spiritomb is locked behind surf like Zapdos is kanto>b-but Cynthia Her Spiritomb is literal ass niggerRotom should have had 600 bst and stayed post game, and its implied lore with Cyrus from Platinum should have been in DPHeatran’s base should have been in Fuego ironworks and it should have been Flint’s ace
