They only wheel out spearow to be the dedicated "evil bird thats bad" pokemon so fearow gets even less focus. It's lucky to sometimes be included in that, but that's it.

They are so misunderstood. Always shown to be angry and violent, basically portrayed as the "bad guys" that need to be beaten, electrocuted, and so on, but they have a peaceful and loving side, too.

It's like the complete opposite of shit like Gengar. Fearow is villainized, Gengar is beloved. But all of Fearow's dex entries are just 'It has really big wings and a cool beak' and Gengar's are 'It eats children'.

This. Pidgeot is just a spoiled, fat jobber

I feel like out of all gen 1 pokemon, fearow is consistently the least loved by both gamefreak and the fanbase in general.
Its probably in the top 3 if not the number 1 most forgettable gen 1 pokemon

>outclassed by dodrio as a drill pecker in its own gen of origin
>from gen 1 to present, the only unique thing its gotten is access to drill run
>almost exclusively filler roles in the anime/manga
>has now been unobtainable in the last 2 mainline games
The only thing fearow has going for it is that is transitioned well into 3D unlike some flying pokemon.
