Does GameFreak really think these stats are useable? Pokemon with like this are all over the game that isn't for a gimmick ability.
Rhydon fell off hard in gen 3. An evo with solid rock was a nice buff.
>>58644398No
>>58644398These are actually really good stats
>>586445061 OHKO bubble or Leafage
>>58644398that's why they gave it an evolution
>>58644506Just goes to show how crippling two x4 weaknesses can be.
I ranked Cynthia's Rayquaza underleveled in Renegade Platinum with my Rhyperior, so I think Rhydon works well until you get the superior Rhy.
upside down mismagius lol
>>58644398Those stats would be good if>Not used by mons with bad defensive typings or easily exploitable typings (i.e something with a bad quad resist to a common move)>Reliable recovery so that it can sustain and tank hits>Has a decent movepool to make use out of that 130 atk
>>58644866Hyper beam,meteor beam,Double-Edge, Focus Blast
i found eviolite rhydon to be far superior to rhyperior when playing reborn
>>58644398rhyperior is a lot better than most people give it credit for.
>>58644398yes? this is a stat spread that is excellent at doing some things (physical breaker that can stop physical sweepers) while not being good at others. ground/rock is a bit of a mixed bag, as while it's very weak to two common ingame types and one common competitive type, it's absolutely devastating offensive combo that terrifies pretty much everything tasked with switching in on it. i would agree that some recovery would be appreciated, but so would just a little more speed, so that rock polish could be more viable. pokemon are allowed to have flaws and in a meta with ~500 fully evolved pokemon (imagine this is the evolution), not being in the top 100 doesn't make it bad or unusable. it is pretty shit for doubles when dynamax isn't available, and the lack of usage tiers in official formats sucks.
Yeah, seems weird they're complaining about the statline here. These are very minmaxed stats.
>>58644966Gen 9 has completely fucked people up when it comes to being a "good" pokemon. Pokemon these days need to be able to do everything, have perfect statline and have a godtier ability. God forbid a pokemon has weaknesses so that theres counterplay
>>58644925that's rhydon, but yeah. There's a lot of pokemon with SPA/SPD/SPE dump stats that are good.
>>58644510>>58644713Why are you staying on the obvious super effective move lol
>>58644398It's honestly not that bad of a stat spread. It's built like a worse version of Great Tusk. But Great Tusk has almost 100 more stat points to work with, so being worse than it is fair.
>>58645101because his agenda would fall apart if someone isn't retarded
>>58644405I wish they'd give Solid Rock to Rhydon and Rhyhorn. It's never been able to use any of it's abilities.
>>58644398I agree. + 10 in every stat besides speed and it's top tier.
>>58644398>these stats aren't usableYou don't compete or have friends to play against. They're usable for you.
>>58646966>I wish they'd give Solid Rock to Rhydon and Rhyhorn. It's never been able to use any of it's abilities.Tera Fairy Rhydon with Lightning Rod counters the hell out of Miraidon.
