Where did people get the impression that Mega Evolution is supposed to "save/fix" a pokemon design? Megas only enhances the pokemon or even it's entire evolutionary line's design attributes. If you didn't like a pokemon before because of it's design, then you weren't going to like it ever.

Megas don't save designs. They make them more competitive, dumbass. Who has ever agued that?

Where did you get the impression that that's what people think they're supposed to do?
Megas fixing existing Pokémon is what the fans EXPECT THEM TO DO.
