Zygarde had such a weird history. Having no game, debuting complete mode in the anime, being pushed into S/M... I remember the first time we saw Complete in a game was a quick cutscene in something obscure like that one cap battler game or something. Anyone recall what that was?And aside from that, its funny that Zygarde got a similar treatment in Go. It premiered in a trailer WAAAY before it was ever in the game, to the point that people thought Niantic forgot it existed.

It’s kinda crazy how Zygarde went from my least favorite legendary to my favorite legendary in a single game.

I thought it would be hard to convey the "green snake dragon legendary acts as guardian deity in a region" without feeling like a Rayquaza copy, or doing it at all in a game that takes place entirely in a single city, but nope, if anything Zygarde looks more like a guardian that Rayquaza ever did, Fug feels like it stops Groudon and Kyogre because they are noisy loud neighbors that ruin its chill time and stopped the meteor only after Zinnia summons it and says they all are dying otherwise (and it wouldn't have been able to do it if Maxie/Archie didn't happen to give you the meteorite) but Zygarde all on its own>saved Kalos from Lysandre's kamikaze attack in XY without getting any recognition>then saved Lysandre and turned him in its janny to fix the damage it got from his schizo rambling>kept an eye on you as you grew stronger and gave you its mega stone itself>tested you multiples times to ensure you are worth of its power and will be capable of mega evolving it>teamed up with you (without becoming your pokemon, all with complete free will and agenda) to stop Ange>got to wield the power of Z-moves' light in its mega nuke form because it went to Alola for a training arc>only after all this and after you prove you can also correct the excesses from life (Xerneas) and death (Yveltal) it allows you to become its partner, but only if you best it in a boss battle firstUnprecedented levels of chadness.

Okay I'm no artist so feel free to shit on the drawing but I just had an idea, megas for the other two Zygarde forms>10% Zygarde grows in size but due to the low amount of cells, parts of its body are missing and seen as non-physical pure energy (like Perfect Mega Zygarde's body)>to keep (and even increase) its speed despite the fragility of its legs the energy body multiplies the number to eight>the closed "third eye" 10% and 50% Zygarde have has extended like a giant slit from its head to its loin, and while it's not a proper open eye (to signify it's not in its strongest, full form) the energy leaks emulating hair>this way the canine traits become equine and 10% Zygarde, normally inspired by Fenrir, one of the three children Loki had with Angrboda (along Jogmungandr, 50% Zygarde, and Hela, Perfect Zygarde) becomes a different child of Loki, Sleipnir>turns Thousand Arrows into Land's Spear (reference to Odin, he who rides Sleipnir), the gem of its chest fires a single shot with the same properties as Thousand Arrows but also deals super effective damage to flying types or levitate/baloon users (once they are on the ground it's functionally the same as Thousand Arrows)Don't know what to do for 50% Mega Zygarde, maybe making it humanoid-snake hybrid to represent how close it is to perfection and give it a vague tree trunk to represent Yggdrasil? Obviously an improved version of Thousand Waves, too.
