>Dedenne-style Sweet Potatoes>by Hikaru Takahashi and Nicole Fujita>Ingredients: 1 300g sweet potato, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 20g of butter, 2 tablespoons of cream, 2 egg yolks, almond slices, 1 chocolate pen>Peel the sweet potato, then cut it into 1cm thick half circle slices. Soak the slices in water for a while, then put them in a bowl, add two tablespoons of water, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave until the slices become soft. Take the bowl out of the microwave and mash the potato slices while they're still hot, then add the sugar and the butter and mix it all together, then add the cream and one of the egg yolks and mix that in as well. Divide the mix into appropriately sized portions, then shape them into round balls resembling Dedenne's face. Use the other egg yolk as egg wash and brush it onto the surface of the balls, then bake them in the oven at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes. Next, use the chocolate pen to draw a black outline on the edges of the almond slices so they look like Dedenne ears, then insert them into the baked sweet potatoes. Finally, use the chocolate pen to draw whiskers on the faces.Get cooking, anons.
