I just defeated Mega Tatsugiri and I really don't think I'm understanding the donut system. I mix a bunch of Hyper Berries and I couldn't make a 3 star donut, so the Tatsugiri was level 140 while my team was level 131. Is that normal or is there just something I'm missing here?

This is really stupid to be asking over nearly two months after this game has been out, but I basically dropped the game after I get to the credits.How the fuck is capturing legendaries suppose to work in this game? I wanted to get Diancie but after I'd KO it, it's just another roll to potentially catch it and otherwise I just have to battle it again? I figured that this was the correct thing to do because throwing Pokeballs during the battle eventually makes it so that the Pokemon is angry and you can't do that anymore, so I haven't bothered with trying to weaken and status them during with the exception of attempting to get a few more rolls to catch in.What am I doing wrong?

I want to try new Pokemon, but it just feels lame having to dump all of my candy into every new catch because they're all 70+ levels below what I have and the DLC DEMANDS you being at least level 90. Not to mention how every single DLC Pokemon is locked behind RNG spawns, you simply can't choose what you want to search for. Deciding to not give any exp in DLC areas was a retarded mistake. Why bother making everything so fucking weak if there is no good way to train?

And alphas are only mid-20s at best.This wasn't even an issue in SV's DLC, where going in postgame would give you a bunch of high-level NFEs to catch and potentially use. I don't know why it's an issue now. I doubt you can even access the DLC before beating the game, but even if you could there is no chance in Hell that you can actually fight >100 Pokemon with whatever your story party is at that point in the game.

>>58725986I am starting to develop a couple theories, first you need to get at least 120 flavor power (1 star) to get an effect, this one is pretty obvious I guess, second you need to either have one flavor high enough above the others or a perfect balance to obtain an effect, if one flavor is high enough you get one of the possible effects from that flavor, if the flavors are balanced then any one effect from any of the flavors (picture not made by me but relevant). I think that should hold true as long as we're in the realm of single effects donuts, I'm not that far in yet, maybe things get more complex once you reach more stars.

>>58726021There's definitely something about balance, fpr exemple this donut, I did an almost similar one but with slightly different levels of bitter and fresh (like 110 to 115) and I got no effect at all, so the conclusion is actually pretty simple: balance your flavors according to what effects you're seeking, having side flavors seems okay as long as they're significantly lower. I don't think there's a way (outside resets) to aim for a specific effect within the list of effects of a given flavor.

Lucario is actually one of the most consistent special attackers because it runs very quickly, so it can get into position to do special moves rapidly too.Slow movement also kinda sucks for Fairy special attackers if you want to stack your Fairy moves since Moonblast is a ranged move while Dazzling Gleam is a melee move. Your Pokemon will be running back and forth quite a lot and a slugglish one will struggle to get hits in.
