Smogon has banned more mons than ever before, including mons who have NEVER been banned before, and tpci instituted fucking open team sheets to try and accomodate the absolute power of having a perpetual "no u" button. Megas were predictable. Z-moves were annoying but mostly one-dimensional so able to be played around. d/gmax was shit but at least had cool designs. Tera was ugly as sin, obnoxious to fight against, and brought nothing new to the table apart from, what, choosing between water, fairy, or steel for your tera to resist your normal counters? bullshit.
