You aren't gonna like this but every single remake (counting Legends too even if they aren't remakes) is way better than the original. Only BDSP is the exception and it wasn't even made by GF

Not shitting on RBY, but it wasn't particularly difficult to surpass them. I don't like FRLG, and prefer to play RBY as it is because wuh wuh nostalgia brain, but FRLG is definitely "better" on paper.

HGSS vs GSC is tougher in my opinion. Yeah visually and audibly HGSS is a massive improvement, following Pokémon are cute, more modern gameplay features, but there's a lot of little things that make me replay GSC over and over again instead of HGSS.

RSE and ORAS feel like different games entirely.
