Hi! I really liked 6th gen when I was 15. I'm currently 26 and playing ZA and I really like the game! What do you think about this game personally?
'grats on your transition cuh
>>58736941I was always like that
>>58736939It has its flaws, but I like it. Gen VI had several things that felt half-baked, and it does feel like Z-A follows up on a lot of them. I also feel like the smaller focus of a city instead of an entire region serves the game well, since "you have to travel all over an entire country because you're now 10 years old" was starting to feel a little forced.
>>58736969 Because of work, I can only play for 1-2 hours a day. Fortunately, I don't even have time to get physically bored.
>>58736939might I suggest migrating over to the tt trainer thread, you'll receive less flak than on the public board for blogposting

It was the beginning of the end in many ways, but I also think it's important to put it into perspective.I was 16 when it came out and played XY. Anyone who lived through that initial period remembers it well: it was magical. PSS was one of the best online games ever made, and before the bank, everything felt like a rediscovery. The forums were a constant stream of requests for friend codes to access safaris. Many of my acquaintances, myself included, were breeding or battling for the first time.It was a constant battle and trading. And the magic wasn't just the period between the game's release and the bank's release, actually, come to think of it. The entire pre-release period was magical. Along with the seventh-gen games, the sixth-gen was the last true pre-release period in which the arrival of the new generation seemed eventful. Once this honeymoon period was over, it became clear that the game was actually very little, given its enormous gaps; it was an incomplete game. And then came ORAS, which was even worse. Sure, as a game it was better than XY, but we could give XY the benefit of the doubt. It was their first 3D game, their first 3DS game, the first game of a new generation, and it was set in a new region. Of course, ORAS had none of this, its assets being derived either from XY or RSE. It was a downward development, unlike the upward development of XY, and it still managed to squander its potential by a huge margin. I also hated the redesigns, and I hated the primal reversion. And despite all this, I think that as games they're... okay. I have fond memories of both, despite ORAS being more mixed, and overall I've spent a thousand hours on the sixth-generation games. In fact, it's the last true generation that feels like a "Pokémon game" in many ways. And I'll continue to cherish the memories of the first XY I mentioned.
>>58737257cont.Still, if I had to use a phrase to define the sixth generation, it would be "wasted potential," and Hoopa perfectly embodies that definition. Even the movie was a load of senseless fan service crap.My love for the series began to wane with gen VII, in fact. After SM, I haven't touched an Ohmori game ever again.Years later, I liked Arceus, a lot. Now I'm playing ZA and I have to say I don't dislike it, but I don't really love it either. The battle system is extremely clunky and inferior to Arceus so far. The combat often sucks, and the controls seem worse than those of the first Tomb Raiders. The setting seems too "low scope" to me as well. I'm not even halfway through the main game, though, so that's worth noting.
Compares to legends arceus, arceus was better but i've still been enjoying my time with it. Besides part of my annoyance being za was based in the future since the legends systems seemed better for so called historical settings, the fact it's confined only to luminose also sucked. There's so areas of kalos I want to see how they look 5 years post super mega death laser. At least my boy got a mega.
