Take away abilities in this game and some Pokemon just absolutely crumble.

I'm glad it's at least a step above Legends in that you actually have held items, but seeing how abilities translate to real time battles would have been really cool. In general the game has good foundations like Arceus but as always with recent Pokémon releases it's really barebone, and of course instead of building on those foundations next legends game will do something completely different yet again
>>58738604I hate levitate because it feels really weird to have it as an ability at all. Like, of course wheezing 'levitates' I don't know, I think abilities need a full on rework. Half the time abilities are designed as a personality quirk, something to help make individual pokemon unique The other half of the time, its a species defining trait that is needed so that the pokemon can actually function.
