Repeat ball is useful for repeated catch Pokémon quests and I haven't used a timer ball since Gen 4 since critical capture made them redundant.

As a balltist what catchrate bonus the ball gives is completely meaningless. I just use it if it goes well with the Pokémon I'm catching, simple as
