Decks that run multiple stage 2s could benefit from having extra slots for stage 1/May copies. That'd actually make them more consistent despite the additional card count. I mean, you don't see them much, but part of the reason is deck space is too limited so you often have to sacrifice a lot of key supporter cards to make it work.

Adding just 5 additional cards as optional flex space would do a lot for spicing up the meta. But also you know that running 2x Red Card will become a standard at that point even if it's just the 21st card and no additional after.
