I used to constantly hear that these game were "hard" and didn't baby the player. Why am I receiving a tutorial on the most self-explanatory type relation imaginable?
>>
The difficulty comes from dealing with Masuda's horrible tutorials that make each game unbearable to play through
>>
Gen 5 babies got bullied by Watchdog and Emolga.
Black and White difficulty is very safe otherwise.

These are games intended to target an audience that will be also made of new players, so obviously they have to explain the mechanics.
This is an actual product, not a fanmod with zero concept of game design, which seems to be what molded your perception of what a "challenging game" is supposed to be.
Having said that, the games are not hard. They are only challenging by Pokémon standards

To this day I genuinely do not understand how Volt Switch Emolga could cause trouble for anyone. Assuming you’re trying to hit it with a Rock move you’ll still be doing good damage to whatever comes in due to how frail her mons are.

And these games aren’t particularly hard. BW was the games that introduced 3 limit rosters for Gym Leaders as 4 limit rosters for E4’s. Look at the two final gym leaders for fuck’s sake; 3 mono ice types followed by 3 mono dragon types.

Why do they have to explain the same type triangle twice within a couple hours of playing?

Hard in the sense it's hard to enjoy a gym battle anymore since everyone has a team of 3 pokémon

Striaton is unironically one of the hardest 1st gyms in the series since you have so few options to deal with it.
I've never beat it without resorting to the monkey.

you have never heard any such thing. stop being a fucking jerkoff

It's actually kind of absurd how suffocating they are as a boss fight. You get NOTHING to work with outside of the obvious answer and maybe overleveling a Lillipup. But it doesn't really make for a super interesting fight because the lack of options just sort of mean you'll likely be doing the same shit every time. It's a similar problem to Brock in Gen I, not many games have this kind of a first boss wall where you're forced to play the game specifically as the game wants you to
>>
>>58745704
>erm only 3 pokemon??
You are a retarded nigger. There were rarely any gyms before this gen that had more than 3 pokemon and if they did they almost always had repeating species.
>>

Its wasn't hard I just find it boring, tideous
And not fun to play

On top of that the ugliest pokemon selection to this day
It was so uninspiring to play
